Florinda is a first-year Ph.D. student in Counseling Psychology at Lehigh University. She earned her B.S. in Psychology, summa cum laude, from Drexel University, with minors in Spanish and Criminology. Prior to joining Lehigh, she worked as a Clinical Research Coordinator at the University of Pennsylvania's Penn Center for Mental Health, where she supported the implementation of an evidence-based intervention for young children with autism and developmental delays. At Drexel University, she also contributed to juvenile justice research, deepening her understanding of how research can inform policy and improve outcomes for justice-involved adolescents. Her research interests include dissemination and implementation science, program evaluation, health equity, and children and youth mental health. She is interested in supporting mental health providers in delivering culturally and linguistically responsive care to diverse children and families, supporting caregivers, and improving access to mental health services for underserved communities.
