Temma Schaechter

She/Her

Counseling Psychology Doctoral Student

Temma is a second-year Counseling Psychology PhD student at Lehigh. She is passionate about researching and conducting culturally and linguistic responsive treatment for marginalized, underserved communities. Before Lehigh, after graduating from Brown University with a B.A. with Honors in Psychology and Music, she worked as a Clinical Research Coordinator at the University of Pennsylvania, where she studied factors impacting mental health clinicians' use of evidence-based treatments. Currently she is investigating the experiences of Yiddish-speaking and other multilingual clinicians and how to best support them in their work. In her not-so-ample free time, you can find her at a jazz jam, songwriting, thrifting, or geeking out over food.
